Thunder in Minecraft is a Two-Dimensional Sound as it only move along Z Axis & X Axis, the Sound of Thunder can be heard up to 160.000+ Blocks,
How the Exploit Works?
In Overworld, The Thunder can only strike in a loaded Chunks, meaning that a player must be Online and have the Chunks loaded in order for the sound to be created, here's where the Exploit comes,
by having Three Accounts logged at the same time & at the Different locations, using each one to listen the Sound for Thunder directionally it's possible to triangulate the Exact position of the Thunder came from,
this Exploit was notably used by "PopBob" to find Bases and Grieve them and Kill the Player who have the Base,
